Sammie earned his ORC on February 1, 2009 at the SOMOS NOTRA trial in Jacksonville, Florida. Just like with his GRC, he earned this title after four days of NOTRA racing. What a guy!

Of all the photos I took of Sammie alone, this is my favorite one. He sure looks regal.
Unfortunately, I was facing the sun when I snapped this shot of Sammie striking a pose. He is intently watching what is happening on the oval. Despite the play of the light on the camera's lens, it is a pretty decent picture of handsome Mr. Sammie.
For this photo, I got a clue and positioned myself so that the sun would be behind me. The results were much better. Sammie is still watching what is happening on the oval track.
Thanks to Jamie Bobrowski (Bartleby's chauffeur and attendant), we got a nice photo of Sammie, Robin, and me.

This is a very odd picture that I just had to share. Sammie in red and I believe, Kazan, are shown putting on the breaks as they approach the lure at the end of the LGRA borzoi competition on November 1, 2008. It looks like the dogs are plastic figures that have been posed. But no, they are just rocking back as they shift down into snatch-the-lure mode after running really fast.
