"Booker"

Originally, I had kept Morpheus because I always like to have a male to watch over my girls. But as things turned out a perfect home showed up for Morpheus. Since I couldn't keep three of the pups, I had to say goodbye to Morph and Lightning stayed here. But then, I had the opportunity to get Booker back and I jumped at the chance. Booker has turned out to be a delight. He walked back into my yard like he had never left. The girls love him; especially Porphyry, who adores him. But best of all, Booker is absolutely respectful of Sartre. This is so nice since the old man is not ready to give up his position as lord and protector of my little pack. Booker has a sunny, cheerful disposition. He loves to play "fetch-chase" a game full of enthusiasm but short on structure. Booker almost fills the hole left by the loss of his mother, Flyte.

Not the best picture since Booker is standing a bit wide, but a semi-decent example of his front.
A look at Booker from the rear. I thought about cropping this photo, but it looked even wierder when I cropped out most of Lightning's body. Lightning and Booker have gotten really close.
Here is a photo of Booker from the side not long after he came back to live with me. You can see Lightning down behind him. This photo was taken on November 26, 2009.
This is another in the series of three photos I took of Booker as he stood next to his sister, Lightning. Often it is difficult to catch the dogs standing for long enough to get photos from good positions, but this time Booker cooperated with me.
Booker almost three months later in February of 2010. See the square thing behind Booker? That is the hose keeper I had to get to protect the hose from Hay Luz. She mostly leaves it alone now.

Yes, Booker loves to play "Fetch/chase. This game starts with him bringing me a toy and doing some cute play bows to entice me to play with him. Then, when I throw the toy, he statches it up and runs around the yard like a maniac. Sometimes, he will bring the toy back to me (well, at times it is more like having the toy thrown at me as he races past) and wait for me to throw the toy again. But more times than not, running around becomes too much fun and I don't get a chance to throw the toy again. Booker is a funny fellow.

This is the usual occurance when I start pointing the camera at one of the dogs. They stop whatever they are doing and come over to say hello. Hello, Booker!
Another attempt at a photo of Booker's front, but he turned his head to look back at something at the last minute.

Booker and me at my parent's home near Dallas on Christmas Eve of 2009. We had a special Christmas present in the form of a spectacular snow fall. This photo was taken near the beginning of the snow. The snow stuck giving us a rare white Christmas.
